The 6.5-mile Chandler Paseo Trail Residences can get some exercise by walking, rollerblading or biking on the Heritage Trail that borders on the western edge of Mammoth Park at Cooper Ranch. This trail is a 10-ft.-wide concrete multi-use pathway on the eastern side of the Consolidated Canal in east Chandler. The western side of the canal is an unimproved dirt surface in most areas that can be used for horseback riding or bicycling. The trail runs from Galveston St. and continues south to Riggs Rd. On the north end, the trail connects to Heritage Trail in Gilbert and runs to north Mesa.

The San Marcos Golf Course is located south west of at Arizona Avenue and Chandler Blvd. This is where it all started for Arizona. This 18-hole, 6,626-yard course opened in 1913 and was seeded with Bermuda grass shortly thereafter, making it the first golf course in Arizona with grass greens. Over the decades, presidents, dignitaries, and celebrities have enjoyed the lush setting and challenging play offered at this traditional course.
